Joe Jonas and wife Sophie Turner are back in the real estate market — just a year after moving into their new Miami, Florida estate. The celebrity super couple originally bought the gated Bay Point home for $11 million after moving from Los Angeles, where they sold their mansion for $15.2 million to Grammy-winning recording artist, DJ Zedd. Now, poised for new horizons again, Joe and Sophie have listed their lavish ’80s mansion for a cool $17 million, and we’ve got all the juicy details about what’s inside.
In addition to clashing with high-profile neighbors like Enrique Inglesias and Anna Kournikova, the .37-acre corner waterfront lot currently owned by Jonas-Turner offers many other eye-opening benefits. For starters, the 10,414-square-foot home has 6 bedrooms and 8 1/2 baths, and is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous work, including large windows, natural light, and many organic materials used throughout the house.
Other notable features include 100-foot ceilings, stone walls, and a lush tropical lobby entrance with an incredible floating staircase. The ability to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces makes this a great home to gather with friends and family.
However, the estate — with a whopping $4,770 monthly HOA fee — got a recent makeover, when the pair teamed up with interior designer Sarah Ivory. Initially, the coral-walled atrium entrance was led by water features that were replaced by a tropical vertical garden. The additions of the gold-colored coffee table and both jewel-toned fabrics and furnishings atop a beautiful plum-colored silk rug and beneath a lavender-colored glass chandelier all tie the room together beautifully.
As for the best part of the house? The chef’s cuisine may well take the cake… by the sea, at least. New residents to the property can expect a double-wide snack bar island, topped with a stone waterfall counter. Effortlessly transitioning into a formal dining room, new owners and guests will marvel at the hand painted the Gournay jungle theme wallpaper. To top it off, a vintage Venetian glass chandelier and bamboo chairs blend in perfectly with the home’s lush, tropical beach vibe.
If all this beautiful architecture isn’t enough to make you salivate, the exterior will certainly do the job. Beyond the tropical foliage are lawn blankets, lit trees and an outdoor kitchen with two pools as a backdrop. A coral stone wall and large row of palm trees keep outsiders from seeing in, while a short walk to a 94-foot dock takes you to the waterway that provides easy access to both the bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
While the listing agent – Carl Gambino – did not provide any details as to why Jonas and Turner are selling, we do know that they still have their Manhattan home, which they tried to sell in 2020, before taking it off the market for $5.4 million.
If one thing is certain, buying and selling a home is a tedious process that requires a lot of patience and hard work. Do not believe me? Just ask celebrity homeowners like Kylie Jenner and Dr. Dre – who have to do their job for them while trying to unload a lot of real estate in the current market en masse.
